The team of the Centre for Promotion of Polish Legal Research includes specialists in the field of law. From doctors of law with theoretical and practical experience to talented young law students, they all form a unified structure of experts with a broad spectrum of competencies and determination in carrying out the tasks assigned to them.

Doctor of Law, Supervisor of the Centre for Promotion of Polish Legal Research,

assistant professor at the Department of Comparative Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, Dean’s Proxy for research and parametrisation, member of the Advisory Board of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for the protection of human rights in the context of the development of biological and medical sciences. Author of publications on the theory of criminal law, criminalisation, constitutional law, medical law, as well as journalistic texts in the field of legal philosophy

Doctor of Law, Deputy Supervisor of the Centre for Promotion of Polish Legal Research,

assistant professor at the Department of History of Political and Legal Doctrines at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, member of the research and parametrisation team, president of the Laboratorium Prawa i Gospodarki [Law and Economy Laboratory] Foundation, expert on non-governmental organisations. Author of publications on constitutional and administrative law, theory and sociology of law.

Jan Rudnicki

Doctor of Law, Deputy Supervisor of the Centre for Promotion of Polish Legal Research,

assistant professor at the Department of European Legal Tradition at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, member of the research and parametrisation team. Deputy Director of the “Utriusque Iuris” Foundation, supervisor of student academic clubs. Author of publications on history and comparative studies of private law, as well as the history of public and international law.

Katarzyna Julia Kowalska

Doctor of Law, legal counsel, adjunct at the Law Advice Centre of the University of Warsaw.

For many years, she has been involved with the Polish and global pro bono counselling movement, as well as a member of the board of the European Network for Clinical Legal Education. Trainer and expert in methodology of working with clients and providing legal support to the social groups most in need. Author of publications on evidence law, criminology, methodology of legal advice, as well as journalistic publications on social issues.

PhD student at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, also studied at the University of Manchester, participated in specialised courses in international law and criminal law at the Istituto Superiore Internazionale di Scienze Criminali, Radboud University Nijmegen and De l'Université libre de Bruxelles. Winner of the 5th edition of the “Diamond Grant” (project subject: “Status of victims of international crimes in proceedings before the International Criminal Court. Characteristics of procedural rights and forms of reparation – a historical and contemporary perspective”), two-time recipient of the scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding achievements. Academic interests: international law and comparative criminal law

PhD student at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, assistant to the research and parametrisation team, winner of the 5th edition of the “Diamond Grant” (project subject: “Power of attorney in non-property relations. Power of attorney for consent to medical treatment”), two-time recipient of the scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding achievements. Academic interests: civil law and medical law.

fourth-year student at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. 2nd place winner in the UW MOOT competition. Member of the “Harm Reduction” section at the Law Advice Centre. Since the beginning of his studies, he has been involved in various initiatives at the faculty, including activity in the student council. Academic interests: administrative law and real estate trade.

docent at the Department of Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, director of the Polish Law Centre of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Senior Legal Approximation Fellow at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euroatlantic Integration, graduated of the European College of Polish and Ukrainian Universities, two-time recipient of the Queen Jadwiga Scholarship Fund, the Józef Mianowski Fund – Foundation for the Promotion of Science, the Janineum Foundation, the “Polish Community” Association, participant of the Erasmus+ programme for academic teachers.

Author of publications on tax and financial laws of Poland and Ukraine in a comparative context, Ukrainian administrative law and proceedings, as well as translations of Polish legal acts into Ukrainian.

assistant professor at the Department of Commercial Law of the Institute of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, director of the Centre for Eastern European and Central Asian Legal Research, plenipotentiary of the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw for Cooperation with the East, deputy director of the School of Polish Law at the Faculty of Law of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, operated by the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. He is a legal expert in the area of private law of the post-Soviet region at the District Court in Warsaw and the chairman of the board of the Gabriel Shershevienich Institute of Eastern Law. Author of publications in the field of Polish civil and commercial law, as well as comparative law, especially legislation of the post-Soviet region and the history of civil law.
